Being in the Presence of a Horse
There is something extraordinary about standing in the presence of a horse. Their sheer size and beauty alone can take your breath away yet it is their energy, profoundly aware, that touches the deepest parts of us. Calm, grounded, and present, horses invite us to slow down, be present and remember who we truly are.
Horses are the only animals that of this magnitude that have been entwined with humans for centuries. Despite being preyed upon and wired for flight or fight, horses show us how to live in the present moment. They do not worry about tomorrow or relive the past. They only respond to what is here now. When we enter their vast energy field, we are invited to do the same. Our racing thoughts slow down, our breath deepens and we experience the relief of being fully present in our bodies.
As sentient beings, horses are also natural mirrors. The intuitively sense the emotions we carry, consciously and unconsciously, and reflect them back to us with honesty, compassion and non-judgement. We feel seen, not for who we pretend to be, but for who we truly are. This profound recognition is deeply healing - it allows us to soften, to release and to reconnect with our authentic selves. Horses offer a sacred space of truth, presence and unconditional acceptance. And in that space transformation quietly begins.
